After Carla became a Suzuki violin parent of her four-year-old daughter, she decided to become a trained as a Suzuki violin teacher.  She subsequently received her certification at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA in 1995.  She taught private students and group classes with the Modesto Suzuki Association for 12 years prior to moving to Paradise in the summer of 2007.  Additionally, she received training as a Kindermusik instructor in 1999 and operated her own music business for 8 years in Modesto, Turlock, and Manteca, California. These classes provide children, birth through seven years, with a well-rounded music foundation.

In August of 2010, Carla became the Director of the Strings in Schools program in Paradise, CA. Her administrative background and violin teaching experience were perfectly suited to benefit the Strings in Schools program. Carla’s love for music, children and their families has enabled her to become a patient and careful violin teacher. Carla teaches beginning and intermediate Suzuki classes.
