Beginning Guitar Classes

with Vaughn Quinlan

Vaughn has been specializing in string instruments, playing Guitar and Cello since Elementary school. He enjoys playing any genre of Music, from Classical to Jazz to Heavy Metal. He’s patient, and has a great sense of humor. Vaughn enjoys helping beginners learn, and watching them grow musically. He is graduating from Inspire School of Arts and Sciences with a major in Instrumental Music June 2016. He has already been accepted to study Contemporary Music at Santa Fe University of Art and Design in the fall. Vaughn looks forward to working with your students this summer!

Tuition $210 for full summer session (9 classes total)

Teaching Material:

●      Instrument care

●      Naming parts of the instrument

 

 

 

 

 

 

●      The basics of comfortably handling the Guitar

●      Proper fretting and strumming/picking technique

●      Names of the notes across the strings

●      Rhythm and keeping time

●      Major, Minor, and pentatonic scales

●      Chords and chord structure

●      Simple songs to impress friends and family

Minimum enrollment - 4 students

Ages 8-10 Classes meet on Mondays from 4-5pm June 6-August 8 no class 7/4

 

Ages 11-14 Classes meet on Wednesdays from 4-5 June 6-August 8 no class 7/6
